"My interest in facilitating recovery groups for individuals and families began in 1979. I was dealing with brokeness in my own life in several areas. With the help of wise, professional counseling, I experienced first-hand the affects of a restored life. This prompted me to pursue a career in counseling, and I dedicated myself to helping others in similar circumstances in the hope that they also might experience what happened to me.

"To prepare myself for counseling, I took addiction training classes at Bellevue Community College. Beginning in 1984, I became actively involved in facilitating recovery groups for individuals who wanted to come to grips with emotional brokeness in their lives. In order to keep abreast of developing techniques, I educate myself by attending seminars on counseling and addiction recovery. I have taken two classes recently through the American Association of Christian Counselors, and am considering a third.

"I've also appeared on radio and TV. My life story was told on Unshackled, a Christian radio program. I have appeared on the TBN affiliate KTBW Channel 20, Seattle/Tacoma, Washington.
